Our Story

Every love story is unique, and so is ours. I’ve always dreamt of having my own décor company—a way to bring beauty and elegance to life’s most cherished moments. But the timing was never quite right, and the opportunity always seemed just out of reach.
Then, everything changed when I met my husband, Derek. We shared big dreams and worked hard to build our future, sacrificing a lot along the way to purchase our dream home. He believed in me, even when I wasn’t sure I could believe in myself. Derek was crazy enough to think we could make this idea a reality, and his unwavering support gave me the courage to take the leap. From day one, he’s been my rock, my partner, and my biggest cheerleader.
MODA is truly a labor of love—rooted in family and fueled by passion. The name itself reflects just that:

Our story is about love, family, and a shared commitment to turning dreams into reality. In fact, “Moda” means fashion, style, and trend in both Croatian and Polish—fitting, since we’re a blend of both cultures and proud of the heritage we bring into everything we do.
MODA was born out of my desire to offer a personalized, luxurious décor experience to brides and event planners who, like me, want something extraordinary without breaking the bank. When I was planning my wedding, I found the options overwhelming and impersonal—high prices and cookie-cutter packages with little room for customization. I wanted to change that.
At MODA, we believe every event deserves to be as unique and special as the people it’s celebrating. With a focus on affordability, elegance, and a personal touch, we’re here to make your vision a reality and ensure your event is nothing short of magical.

Offering affordable event decor,we take your event from memorable to magical all across Southwestern Ontario. Our backdrop, floral, and decor options - in combination with our quality and customer service - are unmatched!
The backdrop is the single most important visual factor in your wedding reception or ceremony. This is where you and your spouse will be situated and seated. All eyes will be on you the whole night and numerous pictures will be taken. Trust us to turn your vision into a reality.

FAQs
What is included in the price?
We pride ourselves on the transparency of our prices and services. The price you see on our price list IS the total and final price you will pay. It includes the taxes, travel fee, delivery, set up, and take down at the end of the night. It's a full service! There are no other hidden fees when you book with us, as we like to be clear and transparent from the get-go.
My venue is in the GTA. What's the travel fee?
If you book a grand wedding backdrop with us in the GTA, there aren't any additional travel fees. ($100-$150). Unfortunately at this time, we do not service locations farther than 45km from Mississauga. For our Petite backdrops, there will be a travel fee of $150.
Do you do all backdrop and event decor yourselves or do you source out different vendors?
Yes, we actually do all backdrop and decor ourselves. We strive to do the best possible work for our clients, so we do not hire out in the chance that other people's standards do not align with ours.
Can you make the backdrop any taller or wider?
Our target clientele are brides who want a simple yet elegant backdrop for their wedding at a great price. That's why our packaged backdrops are not wider or taller than 24 feet wide and 14 feet tall. We find that a backdrop this size is the most common size for weddings. That said, we are aware that brides sometimes want a wider and taller backdrop, or maybe even have an entire wall covered and draped. We are pleased to offer wider and taller backdrops as well, for an additional price. Please email us and let us know the precise measurements of your ideal backdrop size (width and height) and we can get back to you with a quote.
In terms of drapery colours – YES you can customize the colours! Each additional colour will be $100. However, if your colours are white, ivory, champagne, and blush/ pink or a combination of any of these colours, the price will be as listed on the price list – no additional fee.
Do I pick one décor item for each of my head/cake table or do I get to pick as many items as I want? What’s the fine print?
You can pick as many as you want!
And yes all our head/cake table décor are free to rent with any GRAND or ULTIMATE wedding package (excluding petite package) for our clients. No fine print. It’s our way of saying thank you for booking with us!
I would love to book you! What’s the booking process?
Great! To book with us, please provide us with your event date, venue, the time you'd like us to come set it up, and the time we can come back to take it down. Then, we will send over an agreement for you to review, sign, and send back to us. All we require is a non-refundable deposit to secure your date. Please note that we cannot reserve your date until your deposit has been paid. Once this deposit has been received, we are all set! Your date is reserved and we are good to go.
